  1. These fraternity hazing deaths happen year after year. The Frat will be suspended for a semester or so until the media coverage dies down and then they will be up and running again as if nothing ever happened. The Frat alumni donate way too much money for these colleges to ever stop their existence. How many years have we kept hearing the same excuses from the College Deans and the fraternities?

  2. I live close to bowling green and my teacher went their for college to hear that this happened in my county kinda makes you think wow the world really is fucked up

  3. Remember, these are ADULTS that want to create the illusion they are free from home, ready to tackle the world, embark on educational goals and enter careers to become a positive contributor to society. These students (adults), have the freedom to choose. The choice to not join a frat/sorority, the freedom to choose to not waste all of their free time indulging in alcohol and drugs, the freedom to choose to walk away from a hazing event, the freedom to say thanks but no thanks. The only way to grow and learn from this is to stop relying on others to do the right thing, to stop pointing the finger at others, but to accept responsibility for the one and only life we live, the choices WE make, the people WE choose to be surrounded by.

  4. My older brother was sexually tormented by hazing at a Central Michigan University. He didn't tell us till years later but we all noticed he became very emotionally distant but we didnt badger him, we thought it was life stress. That was almost 5 years ago now and hes still messed up.
Why would ANYONE go to college at this point, ffs?

  5. I've heard some bad, bad stories with fraternities. Like why would you do that to someone? And how would you let someone do that to you? I mean bad. It's a shame this story but all they called out was whiskey, the things I heard, I'd rather it be whiskey. Yet the people the pull through are some how proud of it. Smh lol.

  6. Well, …..alcohol is a dangerous drug and is consumed by those under 21 years of age illegally.
Parents who subject their kids to state colleges, which are no more than young adult daycare these days, need to warn the kids about using/abusing it.

  7. First of all, legalize weed and make alcohol illegal. Nothing would have happened to either of these men if they had been given pot brownies instead.

Second, why are fraternities still a thing? You can't put undisciplined, inexperienced youths in charge of other people. The person wasn't "encouraged" to drink a large amount of whiskey; He was commanded to by a superior in a power structure that has no business existing at all.

  8. Frats are for weak minded morons, but if you die cause you do something dangerous to be accepted by them, your death is your own fault.

  9. Every person directly involved should face a minimum of 20 years in prison for 1st degree murder.

There isn’t any difference between Hazing or Gang initiation.BOTH require a person or persons to self harm, be harmed or harm others in order to become a prospect.

When a life is lost due to gang initiation it’s a circuit court felony ~ When a life is lost due to sororities hazing it’s suspension & maybe a talking to.

One would assume college students didn’t possess street gang mentalities but they’ve proven that assumption to be incorrect time & time again.
