Since I started doing tool reviews people have been sending me stuff to review. Some of these items don’t warrant a full review and here are 3 of those products. I don’t qualify these as ‘must haves’, but I think they fall under ‘pretty cool’. None of them break the bank so if you’re not satisfied you’re not set back all that much. But after reviewing these products, I can say that I personally am pretty happy to have tried them.

ETCG1–That screw you were trying to remove with Gitta Grip looks like it also had a hex configuration that would have worked as well (or better) with a socket. I actually thought that spraying some PB Blaster on the rusty screw first, THEN trying to remove it, would have made more sense. I understand why you tried the GG, but a different fastener should have been selected for that example, which you found on the Fairmont. As I'm sure you'll agree, I'd rather not mess up the tip of an expensive screwdriver when a hex socket, an extension and a ratchet would do the job better. For all their utility, Phillips screwdrivers are kinda fragile and easily damaged. Another alternative is a nut driver with a screwdriver handle to turn it with, if the shaft is long enough. If you didn't have a socket small enough to fit that screw, you could also try a pair of Vampliers, which can work well in these circumstances. Yet another possibility is an extractor ("turbo") socket, which will bite into the screw to effect removal. These last two may require you to replace the screw afterwards but, given the corrosion, you may have considered doing that anyway.
Use a rubber band on that instead of that gitta grip on that air filter box. Put the flat section of the rubber band over the fastner head then press your driver and viola should be gripped up and screwed out.
the grippy stuff – not so sure it would be any better than a rubber band over the end of the screwdriver imo
there is a wiper tool that cuts a sliver from the old rubber – it does a good job of rejuvenating the blade
I think the oil plug thingy is good especially if it hangs on to the plug so you don't have to fish in the old oil for the plug if you drop it – just a thought

Drain Plug Pro could be replaced with a wobble extension or swivel, which is what I use for oil changes. A rare earth magnet placed in the socket recess will hold the plug as you remove it. The $8 Wiper Swiper can't fix dried out blade bodies, does nothing that a piece of free newsprint or a matchbook strike strip can't.. 303 can stop them from hardening in the first place.Get A Grip works the same as any medium fine abrasive paste.
lol that drain plug thing sucks lol they have this drain plug that has an open close valve on it. much better. you never have to take a tool out to change your oil again. and its not messy.

I have a tool similar to the drain plug tool. 2 of them actually. I don’t change oil without it. I pride myself in doing an oil change without getting a single drop on me or the floor.

Reviewing tools is cool, but are you worried at all about getting a taste of that sweet corpo money and losing your integrity? I see some great YouTubers have turned into absolute whores and it would really suck to watch that happen to one of the "real car guys". Or maybe review something that has nothing to do with cars, so that when you do talk about a product we don't give a shit if it's biased because it's just underwear or razors or something.

Anytime my wipers are streaking I just get out and slide my fingers down the blade to get the dirt off. It makes them work good as new. You shouldn't just keep using them when they are dirty, the dirt wears them out and puts groives in them.
When I was in the service working on aircraft we used a compound like that Gitta Grip it was called EZ Grip it worked awesome.
Fumoto valve take cares of the oil drain plug.

Guys have been using valve grinding compound forever for hardware that's a bit iffy. I have the oil drain plug tool, yes may have to clean it but a lot of new cars access to the drain plug is non existent, it'll prevent dropping the plug into the chassis or drain pan full of oil.
second part of "get a grip" was kinda lame, but guess you had to "save the day" on that one 😉

The Get A Grip was crap.
Wipers are restored much better with some plain old Armour All and a paper towel.
The Drain Plug Pro is a unitasker that I feel isn't worth the money, especially if you are wearing the proper gloves when changing the oil. Gloves are multitaskers, cheap, and resolve the very same issues the Drain Plug Pro does.
I think I'll try the Wiper Swyper. My truck sits outside 24/7 and it seems like new wipers only last a couple rainstorms before they go to crap. By the way, sad to see you're not going to do tool reviews. They may be boring to ya but they are useful, to me anyway. I love tool reviews. Because I see the items in actual use I trust them more than I do ratings on a website left by unknown persons.

a old flex shaft carb adjustment tool, a generic hex to 1/4" bit, a cheap 14mm socket with a magnet insert & a bit of super glue….

I love my drain plug pro. I have a different brand but it saves from getting messy
gitta a grip… I just use valve lapping compound when a screw is being stubborn (if i can't gab it with some ignition pliers).. it does give you more grip..
That drain plug pro is for the sissies. The funnest part of an oil change is betting yourself you can pull that plug out fast enough to keep yourself from getting burned. It's quite easy, honestly, just keep pressure on the bolt when you're turning, then when you feel it clicking, you know it's out of the threads. Then all you gotta do is pull that bitch out quickly. Unless the plug is burning hot, thats the only time I see it as useful.
I like changing the engine oil when it is hot. sometimes planned that way but most often when I was just returning from somewhere and had the few moments that it takes. I suffer if I do not grab my heavy rubber gloves so the drain pro WOULD be something Thai could make use of. attached to the side of my ramps, it would make the oil change even faster than my current 6 minutes.
