  1. I have a 1996 dodge ram 1500 5.9 gas motor. the automatic trans. is bad. I want to put a 2002 or newer dodge ram 1500 automatic trans in my 96 ram. tell me what I need to do this job.. I going to kept my truck I like the body style. thank you.

  2. I wonder if the moisture was not cooling the exhaust gasses.  It takes energy to make that water evaporate.  Once the water is gone the converter exit temp would probably rise at least to the temperature of the entering gas.  You think?

  3. hello eric you have by far the best automotive channel here and is very motivating to a young new to the industry tech like myself i was having an issue with an 2001 alero sometimes i go to start it and itll crank but wont turn over then the security light flashes and i have to wait 10 min for that to reset then i am able to start and this is starting to happen more and more often do you know how to solve this problem? also would like to see more electrical diagnostic video sincce electrical is were the industry is going thanks

  4. Had the same damn problem with a civic….aftermarket one was good for about 2 or 3 pulls and it started breaking up…granted, the civic had 450hp, but still, bad break-up when running full boost, new Honda OEM cap and rotor and it was solid again.

  5. Eric, I have a question. Someone had removed his RV-fifth wheel camper trailer AC roof unit which ran on R12 and replaced it with a new unit which runs on R134a. I have that older unit now. Is it possible to recover the R12 and somehow make the unit run on R134a? What modification will be needed for the Freon conversion?

  6. I got a question…. Does the post cat o2 sensor control fuel trims or does it simply monitor the condition (function) of the cat? I got a 97 grand prix SC 3.8 that has a faulty post cat sensor that Ive been neglecting cuz I just figure it isnt necessary for engine management. Its the only code I have, however, my mileage is rather poor. I drive 70% interstate (60-65mph) and my average MPG is 16.5. How might I improve? Air filter is clean, plugs are good… Would cleaning the maf/map help? Thanks

  7. I have a 98 Honda accord when I drive at medium speed(45 ish) and start to break my steering wheel shakes and I sometimes hear a cluncking sound what could it be?

  8. Eric would you please do a video about replacing a heater core?  I am an A&P student who has an old town and country with a lot of miles on it and before I get into replacing one, I want to get a little information because my expertise is more about airplanes and not cars. Nobody ever does any videos about this essential part of the cooling system and yet they are needed for basic winter driving. Every time I ask you about it, you say it is not maintenance related. What gives?

  9. That remote starting problem after a wash sounds like water is getting inside the car behind the dashboard, a small amount of water could go dowm a harness and into a control module.

  10. My mums Toyota Corolla AE100 1992 had a full service at a regular repair shop and after the service I now hear a clicking sound at idle from the engine? Do you think he put the wrong oil in or is it something else more serious?

  11. 1996 Honda civic ex coupe, windows intermittently working, the track/motor/regulator are working fine, no weird noises or anything. Sometimes it works, sometimes it won't work at all.. any ideas?

  12. Hi Eric my names tommy. I just recently obtained a 98 Audi a6 quattro with a 2.8l v6. I have a cooling problem and there's not really any coolant getting to my outlet on my radiator. So im sure there is a clog in the core somewhere. But my axillary fan behind my radiator doesn't come as well and I can't seem to figure out how to get the radiator out or my fan. Any advice?

  14. perhaps he has his front window hooked up while he is testing the back one, in which case he is fired,   hehe, get it?  fired…nudge nudge,    sigh

  15. I love your videos except your hangout videos are boring. Honestly I don't know why you bother doing these videos since it's not even a 2-way conversation. It's like you're speaking a reply to an e-mail or forum post, the value is not here like your regular how-to videos. If I was in your shoes, I would not do any hangout videos. Google must have really promoted them to you at some point.

  16. Eric, thank you for not recommending a particular car to your viewers and just sticking to the important aspect of checking it over before purchase! Unlike some of your competitors that sound like they have a contract with a certain Japanese manufacturer and engage in a German engineering bashing rant, you took the safe and smart approach.

  17. OK to the guy with the 2002 f150 check for a front windshield leak, look for water down by the e-break , and by the fuse box  above the fuse box is a GEM module might of gotten wet

  18. Eric, We are all mostley not familiar with a hangout. Can you do a video to help us all out on how to hang out so we can hang out. Thanks dude.
Google and youtube seem to lack instructions.!!
