  1. I sent my Nissan Frontier to the dealer ship when I got it to get the shocks replaced and it cost me 900 Canadian dollars , now that because I didn’t know anything about how easy to change the shocks and after investigation I found out that the price for the shocks we around 300 $ for both and the dealership charged me 500$ for and hour of work Mabe even less than that . These videos help in a way that people don’t get scammed by dealers or mechanics, thank you Chris and thanks to all people out there trying to make a difference. Much appreciated .

  2. Hi Chris! Would there be any bad effect if I change my stock rear shocks to a different brand and leave the stock front struts? Hope you can help me.

  3. A good idea when torquing down bushings is to do it with the weight of the car on the suspension if possible. That'll keep the bushing from squeaking and wearing out prematurely because it's "natural position" is with the suspension hanging instead of loaded like it normally would be on the road.

  4. Sir, size 15 mm. & 18 mm. bolts are always use to secure the shocks? I'm planning to do it myself.

  5. Dumb question time – How do I know how much Torque to use on my car? It's 30 years old and doesn't have any manuals at all…

  6. How did you jack it up and secure it. I am a British 17year old and I have just bought a car, so I am not very familiar or experienced with them. I am studying carpentry. I bought the car to help my mum out until I have learnt to drive it. Love your videos. Thanks

  7. Completed this job myself! RockAuto shocks for $21 each, basic hand tools, and 20 mins for the driver's side, and 5.5 hours for the passenger side – UGH. It was rust-bonded to the lower stud. I'm finding EVERYTHING on the passenger side is more rusty – just 5 years in the salt-throwing midwest winters are BRUTAL on the car.

  8. so my 4 door .car makes a squeaky noise whenever I go over a bump, but only when I go a little to fast over the bump where it makes my car jump up high. When I have passengers in the back seat, it'll do it even more. Is it my shocks that are making the noise?😠

  9. I need help. The part that holds the top bolt on my van was really rusty and broke. Now the bolt just turns when i screw it. Any help or tips on what to do next
