no one is slapping their foreheads , LG is taking an Idea that is already exist "Project ARA" the only difference that LG will fail big time just like Asus padfone , motorola Atrix 4g … the problem is that these companies doesn't understand that people want something that work out of the box they don't want to waste more money on additional MODULES AND PERIPHERALS

You missed the point of his comment. he was saying there are people other than geeks that want a removable battery. for example my 65 year old grandpa will only buy phones with removable batteries and he is far from a geek.
Also, my mom will only buy phones with an SD card slot because she likes being able to take pictures with it and put it in her printer. she is VERY far from a geek. she barely knows how to plug a dvd player into the TV.
We're geeks at android and people who go with apple, and are smart, are nerds.

You clearly haven't seen the OUKITEL K10000, THL 5000, Elephone P8000, Bluboo X550, Innos D6000 and quite a few others. All of them are over 4000mAh, some over 5000mAh and 6000mAh and one has 10,000mAh.
my initial reaction is a detaching bottom sounds like a high potential for that to come off often.. especially for people not using tight all encompassing cases..
yes lg is working on a phone with a detackable bottom. the resin for it is so down the line people and chose to get a bigger battery and better speakers and have better docking and a sleaker thiner disine.

Omg why would it be better to slide the battery in then put it in at the back????? And if they mess up the lg g5 bottom half connector it will move or even disconnect or bend. You know even solid aluminium bends if thin. But they want to make some connector???
