  1. All the manufacturers have improved their skins (and their phones – even Sony and LG have some good stuff now) – I remember the original Touchwiz and what a terrible ugly mess that was – a few iterations later and it's much improved. Same with Sense – it got more and more bloated until version 3.5 when they finally started paring it down to something more reasonable. Not so sure about Sense 5 though… I haven't tried it yet so I'll reserve judgement.

  2. I guess it depends on what you are willing ot put up with. I have Android 4.2.2 on my N4, so I have the quick toggles, unified contacts etc. Multi-window might be useful on my N7, but I don't think its something I need on a 4.7" screen – Google Now voice control in the car. Yes, Samsung is about the best at delivering updates to skinned Android at the moment – I had enough of skins which is why I moved to Nexus – I haven't found anything I miss that I haven't been able to download an app for.

  3. WTF? Maybe they just aren't superstitious nut jobs. 4 is a number, that's all it is, its not lucky or unlucky, its 2+2, or 3+1 or 12/3…

  4. Totally agree, internals are fantastic, but I'd never buy another Samsung as their software is just a let down after stock Android – everything it adds is either super-gimmicky or super-buggy.

  5. Better CPU (probably) better screen (on resolution anyway, personally I hate the fake looking colours that SAMOLED gives) – so hardware wise yes, it's better. Design – the Nexus 4 is a classy looking unit, IMO it trounces the GS4 here, but the GS4 wins on durability. Software – depends on what you like, personally I like stock Android so the Nexus 4 wins for me – I find Samsung's "enhancements" mostly buggy and useless.

  6. How ridiculous, it's a fucking phone! It's not even like there aren't phones just as good already available! What a load of hoha over nothing!

  7. you are shallow guys the hardware and software are best out there just caus of design and because it looks like S3 it's lame ?

  8. Relax people. Excitement and enthusiasm of any kind is good for the mind and the soul regardless of what it's about. Stop and smell some roses for once in your life.

  9. Uhh. It's a phone. I've ragged on Apple people for years for this kind if behavior. Standing around watching a phone launch is lame regardless of brand. Even the sheep have moved onto Samsung. Yikes.

  10. What's with the hate with Samsung? It's the same as every flagship out there now (Xperia Z etc), and sometimes better. But you don't go around hating on the others right? It seems like you guys hate successful manufacturers…

  11. The back won't shatter when you drop the S4, The processor has more HP than than the N4, The S4 will be available on CDMA carriers and support LTE. The S4 will be available and you won't have to wait weeks after an order. The S4 has a considerably larger battery than the N4, and should get better BL. The S4 has a better camera than the N4. All that being said the S4 is a more expensive phone than the N4. The N4 is great value for it's price and there is something to be said for stock OS.
