5. Years ago I did a simple drag factor verses acceleration calculation on cars like this. Only David Vizard's calculations included the effect of drag on 660 and 1320 feet times. But the top speed drops from 174 mph with a 345 hp ZO6 to just 129 mph when you increase the drag from 0.32 to 0.74 with a 22 sq foot frontal area. On quarter mile times in the low 12s, your mid to full track mph isn't influenced as much by drag because it's a small percentage. 60 and 330 feet times, especially if your car is front drive or traction limited, the hook-up is everything. Adding an auto usually helps 1/4 mile times.
