I thought I would try something a little different with this one and do the video in real time. As it often happens, things didn’t quite go as planned because I was given the wrong radiator. Don’t be too mad at my parts guy though, it’s an easy mistake to make. In fact, I do show why the mistake was made and how to deal with it if you run into the same problem. This put a slight wrinkle in my plans but in the end the video was shot in real time for the most part. Honestly, it seemed kinda boring at first so I added my first narration. It’s almost like a directors commentary. In fact, it kinda gives me an idea. I’ll get back to you on that. For now, here’s some of those links I mentioned.

I notice some cars u get there really dirty in motor bay. I’m from nz. Is that because of snow??
How did you remove the air pockets having and issues with idle after changing out the coolant.
Why do older honda engines like this one have the transmission on the passenger side and the accesory belt on the driver's side? I always wondered why did Honda made those engines with that setup, while everyone else seems to do the opposite.

What is that hose you keep pushing out of the way that has what looks like tire intake valve. I pushed mine and a bunch of air came out. Good or bad? What the heck is it? Can't find what it is on google.
how did you get the ac condensor off the radiator? i am working on my 2006 chevy impala 3.9v6 LTZ. I have the cooling fans out and removed. just the AC condensor is attached onto the radiator when i try to pull it out.
is this the same GSR you end up buying?
I sealed mine with dynagrip plastic tank repair with the assumption of replacing it when I could aford one, It has worked thus far for 5 months and no leaking. My point though is it was a job to keep it going till I could geta new one, My local mechanic (fantastic mechanic) was in amazement at how tight the seal was. Give it a go its good stuff but its half measure. Eric you should try it ina vid its good for repairing fuel tanks and such as well hardens to like concrete so its at least tougher than the plastic radiator! lol
But as a philosophy I dont like putting a bandaid over a knife wound but I was tight for cash in the middle of nowhere and bam.

Yea pulled out the radiator just to find out that I ordered the wrong one. I ordered a Denso radiator but my fan brackets didn't fit smh. Now I have to order and find out which brand fits.

HEY THERE ERIC I WAS WONDERING HOW DO I BLEED A 1996 INTEGRA GSR OBD2A V-TEC RADIATOR? I WAS TOLD THAT OBD2S DONT HAVE A BLEEDER FOR COOLANT SO AFTER FLUSHING THE RADIATOR AND RE FILLING IT I JUST TAKE THE CAP OFF TUN HEATER ON AND LET THE CAR RUN FOR 5-10 MINUTES THEN IT SHOULD BE GOOD? IS THIS CORRECT?
I hate factory spring hose clamps. Is there a good reason why they should be used vs. screw clamps?

the difference on those radiators is about a quarter inch on the fan mount. knowing which one you need is as easy as a look at the vin. first digit 1,4or 5 is american manufacture and denso rad. a j is japanese builr and valeo rad.

wow, a stock gsr… theres hope.
My 2000 Integra GS makes a constant grinding/rattling noise at idle. The noise goes away once I hit 10 mph. It has 90k miles on it. Its an automatic. Any ideas on what I should check first?
The book time for the radiator on a 2001 Integra GS-R is 1.6 hours, and you did it in about 20 minutes. Nice! Love being efficient on the job, too.
I think he already has a donate button. It's been explained though that he doesn't want to get a lift, because he wants the videos to represent the repairs most of us do at home, without lifts.
Personally I find it easier to disconnect the lower radiator hose at the thermostat housing, and remove it with the radiator. Then mark it, swap it over and tighten the lower clamp because I know it's in the correct position.
Also, I've often come across leaking radiators on Hondas and in many cases I have found that the radiator cap was bad, which I believe resulted in the radiator bursting due to excess pressure.

I was about to say the same thing. I've never had a JDM car before, but if I had THAT car, I would make it a POINT to make it look like everyone wished they wanted it.

someone needs to take better care of that teggy gsr , i had two of them and they didnt look like used up goods under the hood..i bet that thing needs a v tec silenoid and timing belt replaced as well as a distributor o -ring
He doesn't use a lift because it's meant for the general public
