  13. Love the channel but can't watch a lot due to crappy internet where I am stationed.. I am an IT guy and love wrench turning so a lot about what you do interests me. I am deployed in Afghanistan right now and recently bought my son an 08 G35 which right away had problems but we are not deterred at all. He started having hard start issues and had to get on the throttle at startup. We had our local Nissan dealer check the car out since I am not home and they said it showed P0506 and the throttle bodies needed replacing. Well the car has 99k miles and having owned an 05 G and an 03 Altima both with VQ35 engines I knew that the TB's were likely dirty as hell.

    Since removing the MAF and TB's is a pretty pedestrian task on these cars I gave my son steps and tips on what to do and judging from the pics the TB's definitely needed some love. Upon reassembly the car started but it did not idle right and threw the CEL. He was able to drive ti to AutoZone and they pulled the Code P2101 which I believe is the passenger TB TPS code. The P0506 code has not returned according to the AZ scantool.

    I am going to have him double check all the connections and MAF orientation as I recently watched your E60 video where ya flipped it or missed the screw. I know you worked on this G and was wondering if you had any words of wisdom.

  27. Great build and I appreciate you sharing this, as enjoyable as Discovery Channel and Velocity. I enjoyed each of these videos leading up to the challenge. I will say however the use of the F Bomb and other colorful language will limit my viewing. My 11 and 13 yr old boys will not be able to view these great videos.
