The Chromecast Tv is great. The Chromecast audio is a waste of money, limited uses. Apple music not supported, (you cant play your own mp3's!) Spotify only for Premium users. Garbage.

Worst thing is, that you have to login to Google Play Music and mandatorily have to deposit your credit card or some payment method. So I brought that CC Audio right back to the store.
Why would it even market the product on the packaging with an Optical Output when they don't even include a cable, which would be the ONLY reason why they could make the claim, since any unit can use an adapter from 3.5mm to optical cable! What a SHAM!

Ahum, ChromeCast Audio is completely pointless!
ChromeCast 2 can do all ChromeCast Audio can, plus more, for the same price.
So why buy the audio version?
Furthermore, the official setup explanation for both gadgets is rather bullshit. If you follow that, you'll need a CCA for every speaker, while just one CC2 would do the job.
Sony has had a bluetooth device in which it can be plugged in to any speaker sound system as long as it is plugged in with the coresponding audio cable for about 20.00
