  1. This so called crisis is only being mentioned by the news media because of the notoriety of the political people now claiming the effect of the crisis in their families when this has been a problem for the American people for years by the doctors and pharmacist that get paid by the pharmaceutical companies to prescribe their products!

  2. Let's lay the blame equality: 1.DRUG Company's = pushing drug products on TV (Call your doctor, Ask your doctor ) daily
2.Doctor who wright prescription for 6 month's supply instead of offering
    Other non pill options
3.the STUPID people who buy in to prescriptions pills to solve all there HEALTH issues AND last
    GRED for MONEY= BILLIONS

  3. We need to have the focus on prevention as well as treat treatment on its early stage of the addiction and for that affordable treatment centers is a must.
The cost for rehab is very expensive.

  4. Good job young man. You got a lot going for you. Life's a long time and yes it's easy to be sudused. Stay strong. I will vote for you cause that's the next chapter.📡👽🇺🇲.

  5. DEMOGRAPHICS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CHILDREN WHO USE DRUGS. MICHAEL DOUGLAS HAS DEALT WITH THE SAME THING. CHILDREN ARE GOING TO EXPERIMENT WITH DRUGS AND ADULTS SHOULD TELL THEM EXACTLY WHAT EFFECTS CERTAIN DRUGS HAVE ON PEOPLE..ALL OF THEM.

  6. "Opioid manufacturers are paying U.S. doctors huge sums of money for speaking, consulting, and other services—and the more opioids a doctor prescribes, the more money he or she gets paid by those same manufacturers…"

  7. A rich white woman and her whinny privileged son. Give me a break!!! Opioids are a necessary medication. The W.H.O. say so! People that abuse them are criminals. He got "Intervention. While the poor people go to jail. Imagine that……

  8. It's a rough journey. So many people have had to face this. It's one thing to think you need something but a whole different situation when your body physically responds to not having those chemicals. I had some issues in 03 and on 2015 I moved to India. After the move it was the first time in that whole span of years was I not counting every four hours to take my pills. It was good for the doctors they kept getting paid. Looking back at the years I lost I'm a little sad about it. I am absolutely able to live with out them I have for almost 6 years now. I take Tylenol or ibuprofen when it's bad but the way they said this was all I could do (take opioid medication from vicodin to morphine then one step up but I could not deal with it so I moved back down.) In India they don't do pain meds too much. In the er for pain you get tramadol and Tylenol. And most people get nothing. I'm thinking it's to avoid dependence. Why does it hurts so much to get off them is my question. It's like the drug companies want you to be addicted. Anyway for those struggling yes it gets better. For those just starting the journey, don't let your guard down. Get off them as quick as possible. The years go so fast. I was so moved when I realized there is basically nothing between then and now that I remember or went thru. almost 15 years. Just gone. Ps after reading the comments I decided to post. God has nothing to do with this. If he/she/they did, all people in pain would have to do is pray. No need for pills🤷‍♀️✌

  10. Substance abuse is the result of a spiritual disease in all of us called sin. Christ Jesus is the cure. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved according to the Scriptures. 🙂❤️
