  1. A soft cotton buffing wheel from Harbor Freight (about $5) on a viable speed Drill works a hell of a lot better and FASTER too.

  2. If they haven't already, they ought to ban plastic headlights because of the potential safety hazard and go back to exclusively glass.

  3. the real problem is the oxidation on the INSIDE of the lens and you can't get into that like you can on the outside. A real bummer.

  4. Your video was created on June 25, 2014. Since that time, there have been innovations in restoring headlight lenses. Here is the latest formula as 12-13-20. Step #1, Use 91% alcohol bought at any Walmart. Pour some alcohol onto the microfiber cloth and wipe the headlight lenses thoroughly. Use another clean microfiber cloth and pour Acetone on it from Walmart. swipe from lensYou are don't in less than 10 minutes!! Have a great day!!

  5. Thank you so much! I called the place where I bought my car and they wanted $150 and they promise to only 90% clarity. Heck with that I’m doing this! Thank you
Well Chris thank you so much. I know there’s been a gap in time but it worked beautifully! It has extended the life of the lights greatly. Thank you so much and God bless you💜☦️

  6. Make sure your giving people right information.

    – should always tape off the headlight.
    – dont suggest 1000 grit, use as many grits as you can, personally I use from 600 to 10,000.
    – compound then polish.
    – biggest thing your missing you HAVE to re seal the headlight with clear coat or a sealent.
    – then wax, and buff.

  7. I know to fix that as well, Remove old yella headlamp assembly, have custom made glass one's made..( for a very handsome price ) Install newly custom built head lamp assembly, That will never haze up again, but stands a chance of being broken, but just like everything, it can be broken.

  8. I used the 3m rubbing compound and a rag , it made a big difference. I do not need to go this deep.

  9. Just leave the headlights after buffing w/o applying wax & u r there from where u started.
OR simply apply the wax w/o doing anything it will do the job.
Moral whole result is because of wax and will stay till the wax remains nothing else.

  10. Hi Chris, 3M has the most expensive kit comes with clear coat wipes. What do you think of that? I have used them on a several different projects and the last coat makes headlights shinier but sometimes cause some fine lines or very tiny bubbles!
