  2. The USA has no legal right to sanction any other country. It does have an implicit right to choose who to buy from and trade with. The US could instead say, "Kashoggi was a US citizen (I'm assuming, maybe I'm wrong) whom we believe you tortured and dismembered. Find another country to trade with. And we'll buy our oil elsewhere, too." In fact, there's no need to even say this. Just do it! The message will get across. But if you don't do it, there is no message. Biden is turning out to be a banana with no banana inside. In 2024, if Trump has not been convicted of anything – which seems impossible now but you just wait – he will run again versus No-Banana Biden and win, and we will have another 4 years of Trump in the White House. If your reaction to that isn't horror, it should be. Of course the solution is to get Trump convicted of obvious crimes so he can't run. Where is the news media questioning why that hasn't yet been done? Somehow we've been numbed into thinking everything must take a decade or longer. This country…this country is no great advertisement for the efficacy of democracy as a political system. In fact, doesn't it seem like everything the critics said about democracy is coming to pass? But socialism remains a dirty word!? Am I pushing over a sacred cow? Yeah, tell me I'm wrong when we're calling Trump "Mr. President" again. OMG!
