    .. But, is it possible these outer rod-ends were previously installed upside-down?
    On mine, the side with the L/R stamp are facing down, and the 'arc' shape is allowjng more clearance regard the strut…
    Anyway, not to tell you what to do but.. Keep it on!

  2. Hey when you are trying to ram the rack back in there in the beginning how do you get that inner tie rod past the control arm while simultaneously getting the steering shaft into the pocket!? I’m stuck at this part now and am half tempted to take the top end of the rack off! Please advise!?

  3. Hey Eric, you do an awesome job on these repairs thanks. I did notice on my new rack it says that I must flush out the Power Steering system prior to installing the new rack or the warranty is voided. Can you give some input on your opinion of that. thanks again you do a great job.

  5. Eric I'm very appreciative of your videos. This was very helpful. The only thing I would point out if when putting the tires back on the vehicle call out that to torque the lugs to manufacture's recommendations because if not it could cause rotors to warp causing a lot of vibration when breaking. I've learned this myself the hard way. Thank you very much for your videos.

  6. Eric, thank you for this video. Just did mine and the video was awesome. Only when I got the tires on the passengers was turned out just a bit. Ginna take the tire back off and spin out the tie rod one turn. Also, should I vacuum bleed the system before I start the car. Ive read that that should be done or it could damage the rack and pinion. I see you didn't, so I just wanted to make sure.

That high pressure power steering feeder line… my bolt was seized and even with PB blaster and a flare wrench I stripped the damn thing on the first twist. two days later after trying multiple different ways to get the bolt out I decided it was time to buy a new high pressure hose. You are right, ruined my week.

Good job man, thanks I may need to change the.rack and pinion for a hond crv like I dont know, no leak yet but those small pipes on the rack are too rusty and they may blow up soon, like I have before doe a returne pipe that attached to the reservoir got leaky because of a hole on the pipe due to rusted area, the only problem I will.have is the 14 nut and 17 nut attached to the rack, i will be paying attention to that with a proper wrench tools . And also loosing that clip first on 17 nut before removing tje nut. But I wasn't successful I will change those hoses with new ones, because those nut may be too rusty, to keep on the new rack.

  10. Hey Eric, I have a question. I recently had a garage do a complete flush on my PAS. After the job, the steering started making a whining noise on lock positions. It wasn't there before. The guy told me that he believes it's just some air trapped inside the system and that it will bleed itself out in a few days. I've been driving the car around for a few days now but the noise is still there. What's your opinion about this?
