  1. I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, as I just found this channel… but the tires are mismatched. The rears are bald, and the fronts are on backwards. It's not surprising the car lost control in the wet, since the water was being channeled into the center of the front tires, and the rears have no tread. My guess is the previous owner didn't know anything about this car, and likely stretched his budget to afford it (tires are the first indicator someone is struggling with maintenance… who would run around with bald mismatched tires on purpose??). Great channel!! Subscribed.

  2. Yet another episode I try to watch at night and the music is fucking to the roof, 3 times louder than your voice. Learn how to edit FFS.

EDIT: 3:18 was the worst. Later on it improved.

  3. u don't have to wait 2 hours to apply another layer. u can do multiple layers at one time just make sure u put resin in between each layer. it makes the job a lot quicker

  4. Great vlog. I came accross your videos and subscribed a couple of days ago. I have watched the Lotus from episode 1 and respect to you for stripping the Lotus down and repair/replace all the panels. I look forward to watching the rest of the rebuild.

  5. I don't know what resin your using and it might not be very useful for you but SMD Sunflash is pretty cool cause it's UV activated so you can get it perfect then put it in the sun and it hardens that way

  6. Tip for you when sanding or cutting fiberglass; before working rub any exposed skin (arms etc) with talcum/baby powder, it will stop your pores from being open and you won't get the itching normally associated with working with fiberglass.

  7. really nice videos of the Lotus! One question: Why not repair the glasfiberparts with carbon fiber instead? Lighter and much stronger!

  8. Hey Chris ! This is the second project that I follow and this Lotus gives you a lot of work 😉
Just a remark about the sound level, could you increase it when you talk or decrease the music during the timelapse ? I always have to adjust during the video… (or am I the only one ?)

  9. Hey man, awesome job.

I don't know if this has been suggested before, but you can wrap cheap vinyl sheets or plastic bags around the interior parts, which can save you a lot of time cleaning the car before assembly in the future. Maybe you are too deep into removing the fiberglass parts and it might not matter anymore for this car, but this might save you a lot of time in the future.

I enjoy your videos a lot, and looking forward to the next one

  10. When fiberglassing, first few layers use rowing cloth because it will bond better, then to get thickness use few layers of mat also 🙂

  11. hey chris, i just started my own car channel. stoked about it, once i get a decent amount of subs im going to do a top favorite car channels to subscribe to. i was wondering if i could use your name and some of your footage from your channel to have in the video? thanks bro!
