Make Texas take care of the problem that they brought on themselves, instead of bailing them out of a tremendous infrastructure f×ck up that they knew was a problem more than ten years ago. I'm tired of my federal tax money used to bail out incompetent states. I helped in 2011, but I'm not lifting a finger today. Fool me once, shame on you…You don't fool me twice.

After Texas Gov Abbott declared a state of emergency back on Feb 12 Biden administration ordered ERCOT to throttle energy output by forcing it to comply with environmental green energy standards, knowing full well Texans could freeze to death in their homes with zero electricity as temperatures plunged into the single digits.
    Going into effect Sunday, Feb. 14, Emergency Order 202-21-1 shows the Energy Dept. was aware of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s statewide disaster declaration and that ERCOT was readying gas utilities in preparation for a demand surge.

  13. I find it odd that a wind turbine in Texas freezes, but that exact same wind turbine where I live in Wisconsin keeps spinning round and round in below zero weather for weeks on end. Do you believe everything these idiots tell you? I guess Texas got the "warm weather" wind turbines, LOL!!!

And just a couple weeks ago Texan politicians were trying to figure out a way to succeed from the Union. Fk'em!! They want to be independent, let them handle this on their own!!!

  15. This is what happens when you rely on artificially cheap power. Corners are cut, investment dries up, eventually the infrastructure can't cope. The argument that Texan homes aren't built for cold weather is ridiculous. If you insulate houses properly, they stay cooler in summer and require less air conditioning- it's not just about staying warm in winter. Yet apparently Americans would rather have the biggest possible home for their money even if it means building as cheaply as possible. Who cares when power is so cheap right? Maybe this will be the wake up call they need to start taking responsibility for their ridiculous levels of consumption.

I'm sorry to say those that lost their life over this might be a blessing to You original Texas family's if you look at it from this point of view purposely being pawns trying to slowing down all these people from California and states around California running away due to the cost of living and the worst state to live in because of silicon valley bringing in their own people from all over the world giving them salaries to afford one bedroom apartment $4,000 rent forcing millions out looking towards Texas will be the new California. original Texas family need to get your ducks in a row now start investing in homes out there buying land when it's still somewhat affordable to take care of your family's renting it out for millions come knocking looking for a place to live

  24. Reported by USA EIA (energy information administration website) regarding Texas energy generation data. Go read it.
    Feb 9 – windpower went from 15 GWH (gigawatt hours) to 5. They lost 10 gigawatts of power….the equivalent of 10 nuclear power plants.
    Feb 10 – 15; the natural gas usage climbs from 20 GWH to 45 GWH. In other words it went up 110%. That is the equivalent of 25 nuclear power plants.
    They also turned on every coal powered plant they had. Prior to this the coal fire plants produced an average of 7GWH. They turned coal up to 11 GWH.
    On the morning of Feb 15, they lost 25% of the nuclear power (lost their reactor which apparently tripped everything else and they went from 5 GWH to 3 GWH.)
    Coal power plants went from 11 down to 8. Natural gas went from 45 down to 30 – demand was likely 60 or 70 GWH.
    Looking at the graph the morning of the 15th, they took 30 – 50 GWH off line because they had no natural gas to keep up production while demand was at peak causing power loss to millions of people.
    The EPA rule changes have made it so they are using electric motors for the natural gas pipeline compressors, replacing the natural gas engines with electric motors. When the electricity went off, the natural gas production dropped because they needed electricity to run the pumps.

  47. Tell ERCOT to turn the power back on…just because Biden is mad at Texas and Gates wants to make money off of the GND is no reason to turn their power off during a winter storm, that's what China does to it's citizens.
