14. The only thing I would want out of this car is its complete drivetrain for another (maybe 5th Gen Civic) sleeper. This generation Civic is a conglomeration of confused and cluttered lines and the wreck honestly only improved its overall appearance.

15. $25k for a salvage titled car with lots of bodywork? I got mine for $35k new and wouldn't have it any other way! spend the extra $10k this car will hold its value better than most cars ESPECIALLY FOCUS ST!!

16. How can it depreciate a few dollars when it was in a bad rear accident and frontal damage. Resell of car will be drastically diminished. Plus don't want a car that has any significant damage or frame damage. Safety concerns plus not worth fixing after paying for cost of car plus part to repair. Better off waiting a year or so for used models to come up and buy a clean one.

21. Bro I respect your desires but you have a good car to part out. Parts alone could get you over 15k on this car and if you try and repair it, you could be spending lots of money because Honda is OVERPRICING their parts.

23. Depreciated a few dollars 😆 the cars done. My 2013 Honda civic is a rebuilt title and someone didnt install one airbag and a srs unit. With parts and everything its $5,000 from Honda just for parts. Obviously I'm not gonna have them do the repairs but I can only imagine how much this type r is gonna cost in repairs. It's not worth it.

24. Insurance companies usually total cars at 75% of value. They also do constructive bids, taking into account the salvage value in addition to damages to reach or exceed 75% of acv, actual cash value. This car is for parts.

33. I would never pay more than I could sell the parts for if it came to that. I do bikes and while I lose deals now and then I NEVER lose MONEY! Cars especially ones like this you can wind up going south in a hurry. That's my 2 cents, TheReaper!

40. Most insurance carriers tow vehicles to either Copart or IAA directly if the insured vehicle is suspected to be a total loss. The only time vehicles get towed to body shops is when the insured vehicle is not suspected to be a total loss. Keep in mind that there are some rare occasions that vehicles are not handled efficiently or more efficiently. All major carriers have appraisers on site or assigned to practically every Copart and IAA locations. Most total loss vehicles from insurance companies are never altered or cleaned.
