It's not amazing, it's a bmw engine, I mean you can cross reference bmws with the same engine, and look at there numbers. I would like to see them build a bmw with a Japanese engine, and see how it fairs…. bmw guys would complained, until they realize the Japanese quality,, the 2j powers unicorns man. They should have kept the Japanese pedigree, and made an updated version of the 2j. I don't care if it makes 1k hp, it's a bmw engine, wrapped around a Japanese chassis. I mean the hp this makes is nice I mean no disrespect,, but its not amazing in my opinion. There are 4cyl Japanese engines that make more hp, more easily. I see a new supra, I'm like " it's a nice bmw man…" ,, for all that money to make those dyno runs, you could 2j swap it and make 1k hp all day long.

was the Dyno done in 4th gear by chance? Sounds like it revs out pretty quick. Do you know the overall gear ratio being in 4th if it is? I think I've seen others using 5th gear on the 8-speeds to be closer to 1:1 for HP accuracy.
