In this episode Chris and Cameraman Adrian continue working on the BRZ in an effort to get it on the road asap for a test drive. 1. I know it's an old video but the crack will keep spreading. He needs to drill the end of the crack and then aluminium weld or each time it's fixed it will spread further.

  2. Cold air intakes should be lower to the ground to avoid the engine bay heat. I was following along thinking you'd use the entire pipe to point your filter down towards the bottom of the engine but you cut it in half instead? Now you're definitely going to pull in the hotter air.

  3. I'm surprised you didn't just remove all the stock plastic intake tubing and try and attach the air intake pipe straight to the throttle body.

  4. Loving the videos man, came for the BMW stayed for all the other stuff and that your in portland (im in Vancouver) Keep up the good work dude! I know im several months late but congrats on the shop, so jealous lol.

  5. 7:24 No, that's a ram air intake. A cold air intake diverts the filter to the wheel well, or other location, to suck in colder air.

In the BRZ's case, the filter gets moved to in front of the radiator. Outside of the engine bay.

  6. Car dolly's would be great for you guys garage. Just dont get the harbor freight ones unless you want to have to modify the by putting bearings in the rollers.

  7. Hey small tip,
that beeping you got when you steped out of the car is caused by the keyless system.
On our own subaru it happens when you let the car running, step out of it with the key in your pocket and close the door. It just freaks out until you put that damn key back in the car 😀 It also happens if you let the ignition on, and close the door without sitting inside of the car 🙂
Maby that helps reducing problems, because that beeping is not actually a problem, its intended 😛
Keep up the good work guys!

  8. Fuck dude how much time and money have you spent on this car
all i'm saying you could have bought a 2JZ and swap in less time

  9. At 10:50, did anybody else think they had stumbled into a Subaruwrxfan video? lol Joking aside though, this is one of my new favorite channels. I can't wait to see these two BRZ's when they're done.

  10. Do you not have winter tires in the US? Doesn't it regularly snow in Oregon? Here in Norway all cars have at least one set of summer tires and one set of winter tires.

  11. Tip for you B is for Build:
When mixing compounds like epoxy or JB Weld mix on a surface that doesn't absorb water like glass (plastic works but only thick stuff as the heat from the curing process can make a mess of the thin stuff). This will give you more working time as moisture isn't being drawn out from your compound and into your mixing surface.

  12. Moving the plan B brz was as easy as getting the car out, and coming in in reverse doing as if you were parallel parking. Just imagine the walls are cars.

  13. Ditch the JB weld and get yourself some epoxy intended for bonding metals. 3M and Loctite make a wide variety of products. To use many of the professional grade epoxies you'll want a MixPac DMA50, epoxy in cartridge form and the matching static mixing tube. No more mixing goop on paper. Just point and click click click out comes perfectly mixed epoxy. All sorts of epoxies are out there for various aerospace and automotive applications.
