  1. Why would anyone really want a thinner phone? I never got that. Batteries are all about size, and thinner phones are simply less sturdy and often feel not as comfortable in hands.
Personally I don't have a need for anything thinner than this.

  2. It's been a month since i bought Elephone P5000. It's absolutely amazing, worth its money. Never lags, great cameras, plenty of storage and of course incredible battery life.
The only drawback is that it gets hot from center and above, when working on heavy apps, but i don't mind at all. Overall a great phone for its price.

  3. I actually saw phones with a better batery (for example VKWorld VK6050, with 6050 mAh), but Elephone p5000 is a great option for its price. It has 2 GB of RAM, a 1.7 GHz Octa-Core processor and a 16 Mpx camera. I really dislike the design and itsbig logo on the back, but otherwise it's a great phone.

  4. So here's the deal: I'm coming from a Lenovo P780, which got me into the big battery game. Since then, I'm an evangelist of the "big battery is the most important feature on a smartphone" credo. There's a problem with my P780 though: as of right now, it is lying on my desk with a broken screen, and this is the third time in a year. These displays stop responding to touch when they break, so you don't even get to be like those cool guys with their cracked displays: if your phone falls and breaks, you better have a backup. On the last episodes I've resorted to buy myself the screen and repair the phone myself, which is not cheap at all, as every DIY adventure costs around 80€. I already ordered the spare, but while I wait, I keep thinking of how expensive this phone is turning out to be, and how I much rather be looking for other alternatives that combine toughness, good gps lock (my main use case is hiking, driving and traveling) and of course, a battery bank as a power source. I stumbled upon this phone and its seems to be one fine piece of equipment, but I'm afraid that physical resistance is not one of its main attributes, specially on the front glass department. That doubt is the one refraining me from considering this as an option, or any other "big battery players" that I've seen out there.

Are there any tough smartphones with reasonable specs and enough battery reserves? Gorilla Glass anyone?

  5. I have a Lenovo P780 with good features and also it has a 4000 mah battery, so I am preatty pleased with it… I have it since january 2014 and now the battery it still last for almost a week. So… even if Elephone P5000 is a good smartphone and it has a great battery, please do not forget that there are also some other smartphones on the market with a great battery, another example wold be the new Lenovo P90, witch also has a 4000 mah battery… 😉

  6. can anyone help me I have this phone i love it but i hate how it gets hot when watching videos which drains my battery quick any help welcome

  7. I'm actually surprised at those battery numbers. They sound pretty mediocre for that battery size. I get 6 or 7 hrs SOT on my Z2 and can go a good 2 days easy. That's with the same 1080p, a bigger 5.2" screen, and dual front facing speakers. Weren't most people getting 4 days on this phone?

  8. Hmmm. Seems somewhat like a semi-anaemic S5 but what it is missing is made up for by what it adds. The battery and the lack of the heart rate doover makes it a very nifty sounding device. I shall have to check out your written companion for those other camera shots. I'm not in the market for a new phone at present but I know a few people who are looking to get into android. Would you recommend this to an android beginner?

  9. Why are you reviewing a china samsung  and apple knockoff?  Both apple and samsung need to find another place to build their phones!!

  10. Why cant they keep the bezels symmetrical like #iPhone 6 or #Galaxy S5? Otherwise the Front of the Phone looks ugly.

The Battery is Mind Blowing Though. Hopefully, it doesnt take 5 hours to charge fully!

  11. If you want a phone with with a 5000mah battery get the blu studio energy has better design and stock android with smooth performance.

  12. The icons were stolen from EMUI 2.3…And this is why I still can't trust some of Chinese smartphone manufactures. THEY OFTEN COPY FROM THE OTHERS. I love my Ascend Mate7, though.

  13. It's been a blessing to see some of my favorite reviewers use music videos from christian artist like lecrae and Sara groves…. I appreciate that a lot.
