I have a lot of respect for Senator Blumenthal.
The thing is, sometimes you have to eat some crow to keep fulfilling your oath. Given the what about faces from the GOPs after Jan 6th, clearly Trump has something on them. I'd estimate Trumpland Associates made shady deals with about 47 GOP senators 4 years ago. 3 of them have since decided "fsck it, he is guilty, this is bigger than me and my career" while 44 of them are ego driven to defend Trump so they can "stay in office and fulfill their oaths in the coming weeks months and years, it's for the overall good to keep me here in office serving the public despite Trump's clear guilt." What these 44 GOPs fail to realize is that the Trump family will be holding the shady goods over their heads for as long as possible which is exactly until these 44 GOP senators spine up and join the 3 who already spined up. Dear 44 GOPs, you will have to spine up eventually. It's gonna come out, that thing you did with Trumpland Associates. Spine up NOW for maximum benefit, please.
