@FITVANITY11 Actually check your owners manual for information on that as may engines require an EXTENDED first oil change due to the additives in the oil that help with break in. The owners manual is the law for your particular vehicle and that's what I would go by.
@falloutforever88 Those were cool little cars, too bad most of them rusted away to nothing, they still ran great they just fell apart.
@dendorssers I'm not worried about the computer as I got it used off of ebay and it didn't set me back all that much and I have spare parts for it if I need, in addition I don't plan to have it out while I'm using the grinder. I actually have a storage space next to the shop that I'm using now so there is no need to build any walls, my new landlord turned out to be pretty cool actually. Thanks for your comment.
i used to have an 86 corolla, i miss it so
some of my favorite engines are actually vintage aircraft engines. i actually had the pleasure of doing spark plugs on a pratt and whitney R 1830. i love the rolls royce merlin v12 as well. lots of power and cool sounds. as far as car engines, i gotta admit im a chevy man. 350 v8 i love the 350 and it can be built to produce great power for fairly cheap. they are simple and easy to find one

Yeah, that 1986 Carolla (or hachi roku as it's known as in the drifting world) was apparently bought, driven home, and never touched again. I think it's in Australia or something like that.
@EricTheCarGuy Yeah i can tell it's high but IMHO the benefits are great when having easy access to everything you need from above. Plus there's not a lot of cables and hoses on the floor that needs moving around all the time.
Anyways, can't wait for the updates. I am excited to see how things will work out for ya.

@RealCadde The celling is a bit high for that honestly, you would have to run just as much cable and hose just to run stuff from there and honestly I don't think it would be as efficient. I'll be posting a shop video on ETCG1 this week to show how I managed the layout.
Hey Eric great shop w/ lots of potential… I work in a shop that has (2) bay doors like yours. There is a lift on one side & open work area on the other. I have a work table set-up between the two areas w/ my tool boxes located at the end of the table. Seemed weird at first not having tool box positioned against a wall, but I can tell you it saves me a lot of time & wasted miles by having tool box located central to work areas… Good luck
May i suggest getting everything you use frequently that isn't easily maintained in one spot (Shop air, cables, light etc) hooked up onto the ceiling where it can move all over the shop. Or make several points where these things can be hooked up to coming down from the ceiling. And yes, i do agree with having the lift in the center with one full car length on either side.
Also, is it possible to have a crane in the ceiling to lift stuff with? Like the body of a car? That would be sweet!

Well there isn't any lights on it's weird but my family members think it's the alternator but I'm not sure. On escapes the alt. Is on the very bottom of the engine where it can get wet from deep water

@jamisgood21 Good ear, that's exactly what it was.
@DENGkevon That can kill an engine in short order I've seen it many times and if it doesn't kill it right away it might a little down the road if a connecting rod got bent. The only thing you can do is remove the plugs and get as much water out as you can and see if it runs, if not I would recommend getting a new engine rather than trying to fix your old one. Good luck.
