orange just take forever. i'm on tesco (O2) and my mate's orange DHD got the 2.3 update about 2 months after i did. just got the 2.35 and sense 3.0 update today.
Hey guys, I live in UK and my Desire HD is on Orange but for some reason when I go to system update my phone says that there isn't a new update available yet. I am running 2.3.3 and HTC Sense version is still on 2.1
When is this update of HTC Sense available for Orange users? Does anyone know this? Am I doing something wrong? Please help…
For everyone with ab HTC Desire HD: go to settings, check updates, and download Sense 3.0. Just done it myself 😀

@zelinkaa It's not a bad move because Sense 3.0 works pretty slow even on EVO 3D… I can't imagine fluid transitions on 1 GHz single core CPU @ Cortex A8 architecture…

It was a rooted phone, i had kimera 2.1 in it i think, I guess it doesn't have sense 2.1 then,you're right.

What's the difference between Sense 3.0 and Android 3.0? Sense is just UI, and Android is OS? I had HTC Hero before, it had Sense 2.1 and Android 2.1. Now my DHD has Sense 2.1 with Android 2.3.3., is that right? So, the new Sensation will have Sense 3.0 with Android 2.3 or 3.0? What I wanted to know, major improvements come with new android, not with new Sense, right? Sense is basicly only the "looks"?
I hope they release this officially for DHD. Because I dont want to root mine.

Definitely… and wtf do they mean by old? It's just a few months since it was released… well, I guess that's how the mobile world is atm – 3 months and your device is worthless.
pretty sure there will be a custom ROM with Sense 3.0 for the Desire HD, if HTC dont do this, some other guys do this.

I think the hd2 is fast enough .
I have the desire and it's no better than HD2 , I think .
U have no idea of what ur saying htc sense 3.0 is a whole new sense, framework changed, more dependencys have been added, u can even start to understand the massive changes thats have been done in 3.0, u've got no clue at all.
@zelinkaa Then would you consider the evo to be an "old" htc device? I really hate how phones move so far down in the food chain after just a short period of time. I am just glad that the evo will get android 2.3 (one of these days…).
I cant wait to see a fully working Sense 3.0 rom for HD 2. After overclocking the Leo to 1,5 GzH it should work as smooth as on Desire HD.
I really hope they make a nice rom, kinda ridiculous that htc won't give it themselves… but yea because of the marketing.. i kinda get it. Not fun for us though 🙁

@zelinkaa It's because the file for sense 3.0 is so big that older phones with lesser memory cannot handle the file size. This one can because it's fairly new.
