The only Google phone I had issues with and I've had just about all. Two replacements due to early shutting down. Had to plug it in to restart it.

0:55 the LED light is hidden in the top speaker. You have to root it to enable it

1:02 Technically, it does have a notification LED, but you would have to root the phone to be able to make use of it
There is an led tho.
My Nexus 6P was good for one year until it just stopped working even though it was fully charged. It is now a very expensive paperweight. I just wasted hard earned money.
