3:39 that's her defense? that he used to sleepwalk, and he had tossed her without knowing? to me, it just shows even more that this man is dangerous when he's sleepwalking. i don't buy the sleepwalking defense, but let's just say it's true. well, he has shown at least twice that he is physically violent when sleepwalking, and is even capable of murder. so we're supposed to just let him off free, and say, "oh well, he was sleepwalking"? no, something needs to be done to prevent another murder from happening again.

I was sleepwalking, on my sleepwalking I was riding my scooter like 3 miles from my grandma house to my house, then in morning I'm awake i was surprised and ask my mom how am I home once I'm sleeping at grandma and she's said you were drive the scooter with me last night and I'M TOTALLY HAVE NO IDEA I did that. I'm not defense him just share an experience over SLEEP WALKING

I remember my father sometimes walking while sleeping.one time he walk already far from our house. Luckily my mom saw him. & one time he go up to her sister house.Then his sister wake him up. While he already on the stair of her house.

Interesting…so the mom and sister didn't remember in the entire 2 months prior to trial that he was a sleepwalker? And oh, yea, he's not violent at all. Oh, except when he threw me across the room. 🙄
His story is not outlandish per se. I remember staying as a kid at my uncle's house. His oldest son used to sleepwalk. And he got up that night, got a knife and then stood at his parents bed. Mom woke up, asked him what he is doing…and he just walked to the kitchen, left the knife there and went to bed. In the morning he knew nothing about it. So it is possible in a way to do stuff in your sleep, especially when you are under some kind of medication, but the evidence clearly shows that he was not asleep at all. Clever defense the cold blooded fucker picked.
How do people/parents forget they've had experiences with sleep walking before (even though they'd been violent before during an episode) until their child is conveniently on trial for murdering their spouse? As a parent I wouldn't forget my kids sleep walking and would make sure to monitor them to make sure they didn't walk out of the house or something…..
I don’t know, watching this one left me torn. I think if anything he should’ve been charged with 2nd degree at the most.
The murder that happened on my birthday January 16 but I was born 2007 so it was 10 years before I was born
Common this is so obvious. Quiet man. Never expresses himself. Under pressure at work. Comes home..wife nags about the pool pump. She stands next to him while he tries to fix it. Cause she was wearing shoes. Who wears shoes in their sleep? Or was he sleeping while she slept on the couch in her shoes? My guess is she stood over him while fixing the pump and got on his nerves. He exploded. He was tired, stressed and wife was on his case. He lost it!!! Stabbed her to make her stop talking. He snapped thats what happened here. Bottled up emotions lead to this!!!
As someone who walked in his sleep as a kid & a teenager. His stories ring true. I dressed as a kid for school at midnight & walked out the front door….mum guided me back to bed. I also got my sports uniform on & walk to the front door….this time I didn’t open the door. Mum guided me back to bed. These are stories I’ve been told, I have zero memory of these incidences.
OK, I could buy that he was sleepwalking if he had hit his wife in their bedroom in the house, .. however, she was already asleep and he went to bed after.. so, how did she get outside by the pool? Was she sleep walking too?

this is a great lesson in why it's important to take care of yourself, i like to sleep too much to be getting up at 6 in the morning or whatever to teach other people bullshit scripture. god doesn't need you running around all day and night like a crazy person so you can wear an imaginary holier than thou badge on your arm. stupid freak, go to bed. hire a plumber, cheap mormons – i swear.

Can't keep making excuses for violent crimes. I would sleep walk as a child. Never killed my parents or siblings. In any case, he needs to be put away.
Just an FYI folks. The court building they keep showing in downtown Phoenix did not exist until 2012. Way after the trial ended. I know because I worked there when it came online as a maintenance man.
