10. Hello Sir. I too am legally blind. I want to commend you on your great answers. I'm going to try the one for font. I'm a self proclaimed tech for my blind pals, and hard of hearing pals. Even my family mambers like apps for the blind.  see if your viewers would like Shouter. It is on Android. It reads aloud notifications, and sms messages.  There's also an app called Talking calander, and one called talking clock.Also if anyone wants to instantly enlarge the screen, they can tap on it 3 times, hold the last tap, them pinch fingers appart. it'll make it as big as they want. best of all, the next time they tap a screen 3 times and hold, it'll use the last font size they had selected.  To derease it, they pinch fingers together. Last but NOT least, in internet settings, your users can find accessiblity, then choose a default font size for all web pages.  Take care. Please have a brilliant day!!!

12. I'm a blind gamer / YouTuber myself and I found this video pretty cool. I already knew about talk back and voice over for Android and iOS respectively. Just curious does anybody know about the accessibility features Sony and Microsoft have implemented into their consoles. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One respectively as well. Just letting you guys know it's out there. I think you should do a video about it. Not many other blind people I know know about those accessibility features on the consoles.

16. Hello and thank you for this video. It is helpful and the magnifier seems really nice. I will check it out.

    I wanted to know if there is a way to change the font/background color on android so that I can read various apps better. I myself would prefer a black background and a bolded white or ice-blue font. Unfortunately, the programmers at youtube keep messing this up and programming in gray text and white background. For me, it is like reading the logo on a 100 W light bulb when turned on. My retinas are very sensitive as will be the case for a lot of us afflicted with retinal issues. Please let me know and I will find someone to help me set this up so I can read things better on my favorite apps.

21. I've a blind aunt and I spent so much time searching for two things:

    First is: a talking watch in my language which is Arabic. Or even an app I can install in any smart watch.

    Second thing is: she have her very old Nokia E50 I think. And she would never change it even when she lost it once, I had to buy the same model via Internet. All that because of the physical buttons and the "voice tag" of course in Arabic too.

    Can u help her please?

24. dear Jayce i have a big problem i bought few weeks ago a new galaxy s 4 its a 16gb version but i realized that this phone has only 8.8gb of storage i wonder why is there anyway i can fix that or shoul i buy an sd card??

25. Google's Playstore has many apps to assist, suppliment partial sight, or no sight. Every phone user, at times, will use their phone, unsighted, or with poor vision (inside pocket, underwater, etc).

    Vibrating & sounding keyboards, Spoken-sounding, Screen-tap & Vibration apps are many & varied. …  rGross phone sensors can trigger many tasks & actions.

    Android Playstore is evolving so rapidly, that no one person can cope, despite the many professional pretenders ($$-paid "experts" in the caring professions.). Before my own car accident, leading to moderate Traumatic-Brain-Injury) I was considered an Australian-peer with these "experts".

    I usually have 400+ apps on my smartphones, switching my "home page" to suit any of my many & complex medical disorders, as needed.  Will detail more fully, provided the gods give me enough time & resources to document it.

26. When I become fully blind I'm going to need a GPS that will tell me when to stop turning the wheel in real time as well as stopping the car and let me know if there's a car in my way, how much gas to apply and so on! lol

Here's a QUESTION I have NOT been able to find an answer to ANYWHERE, on the Xperia z (probably other new and up to date android phones too) if you press and hold the home button, a circle of dots appear which will toke you to the google voice search but what looks like could be other things too. Can the google search be changed or other things be added? Please do a video if there's any options or a reply if anything else please 🙁

34. Hey Jayce. Long time listener, first time asker. I just stumbled upon this issue today, and online sources not being of any help. I've been using and loving my Note3 with its official Samsung S View case since I got it.

    However just today the case refused to lock/unlock or even show the S view itself. When looking under the S View settings, you can see everything is normal and the option to automatically unlock is checked off.

    I've tried restarting the phone and I'm trying to avoid a factory reset. Could the issue be within my phone's magnets? Is there any way to check?

    Any ideas you or the community have would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for making this video!  I am also legally blind and have had issues reading text in some apps.  Unfortunately the font size setting in Android are not used in all apps, so it's usefulness is limited.  I personally have recently discovered that rooting my phone, installing Xposed Installer and App Settings to be the best option so that I can change fonts and dpi for specific apps.  This is needed because not all apps respond to increased font sizes in a desirable way, so sometimes it is best to leave them alone on some apps.  It has helped me a ton with reading Facebook on my phone!  I am going to try out that Magnify app, because I do sometimes use the camera as a magnifier!

38. This was very informative, but what about people who are 100% visually impaired? Most of the apps and accessibility options you mentioned help individuals who are partially impaired.  My brother is completely blind but really wants to try a smart phone out. Thanks!

40. I can't imagine why the 'authority' would be recommending such a horrible app as Font Installer, do not use this unless you want to destroy your /system folder

41. If you had google glass, android wear, and an android phone would the google glass interact with your android wear through visuals ok your glass while you look at your android wear?

46. I am visually impaired.
    And this matter is very important to me too.

    Since Android 4.2, Google instroduced the Magnifying Gestures capability, as well as many other acessability features to improve the user experience of visually impaired people.

    I have a LG G2 (Android 4.2.2, and now 4.4.2) and a OnePlus One (CyanogenMod 11S, based on Android 4.4.2) and both are excellent.
    The fit well my need because they have 5''+ screens.
    I only recommend this size of screen, because if your vision difficulties are high, you will amplify more, and a big display is important.
    I also recommend a high pixel desity display. Like an HD (720p) for 4'' screens, and FHD (1080p) for 5'' screens, because when you amplify the pixels are more visible. The image will be more crisp.

    Both my devices have IPS displays.
    I had never experienced an AMOLED display.
    But I highly recommend it, because the contrast rate is bigger than IPS panels.
    Try it beafore buying it.
