This video will teach you how to troubleshoot your gas dryer. My gas dryer would not heat up so I will show you the three main pieces in the front of the dryer that should be checked using an ohms meter. It is very easy to do and ANYONE can do this. Just to get this thing checked by a technician would cost $100. Then any parts, which are 4x the price you can get them at, plus $100 or more an hour for labor. By the time you are done, they will charge $250 to fix your dryer (half price for a brand new one). This job takes 1hr if you take your time, and the parts cost under $10.

Chris do I shut the gas off when having to replace the gas solenoids? I would assume yes.
Ok If the fuse and thermostats check out and the flame sensor and igniter check out what else could be the problem if the igniter is not lighting? Could it be the timer switch? Nothing else it could be wrong right?
So I fix my dryer by replacing the solenoids, and I also replace the timer cus it’s does not move anymore but still even with the new one it’s not moving any idea?
How should I check the solenoids? How many ohms should it read if it’s good or bad?

Chris, i saw the glow, then a flame. Then the flame went out. Then I started it again the glow lasted for 12 seconds then it clicked but no flame. I have a kenmore model # 110-746424.000
If it ignites all the fuses are good. It goes through them before the ignitor
Cool its the exact same dryer I have..it was the glow ignitor..12.00 fix
My dryer lights up thru that whole and I hear the click and then the flame lights up but 7 seconds later it’s shuts off what can that mean

good video, you only left out 1 more, the centrifugal motor switch, I'm having to mess with mine. Got too much lint in the bottom of the dryer. The contacts on the motor switch for heat got too dirty.
Hello I've done the over all checking on my dryer. It lights for a little while. Until I turn it off then turn it but on. But it doesn't light up and it's not getting any heat. What else must I do
