4. Thanks for the video!! A Buddy just called me needing help changing his rear brake cylinders. I’ve never done drum brakes before, but I have built motorcycle engines and suspension so I’m mechanically inclined, I’ve also seen many videos on YouTube on how to do something. You’re the only one I’ve seen that left in the parts of actually struggling taking something off. Never have a seen a video that showed when something is a pain in the ass. Makes me feel like an idiot when it is a bitch for me and it wasn’t in the video 😂

10. Great help Eric. Thanks. Enabled me to discover that I had a slightly leaking cylinder, which had never caused any drips on the floor but over time enough oil had soaked into the brake shoes and caused them to swell. I noticed the binding and overheating of the back left drum, which was impossible to remove without learning from you how to use the two threaded holes in the drum. Thanks again 🙂

14. "There will be a test!" I became nervous and also took a phone picture.

15. Here are some tips. When you get the adjusting part test the resistance with the wheel on reason is it might feel good with the drum but the wheel is bigger and more heavy and might spin not so good. Also this be a good time to check if the handbrake is doing it’s job. Give it a pull the wheel should not move on the tightest setting that way you know the shoes are adjusted just right.

28. Take a photo on your cellphone after each step. Do one side at a time, so you can use the other side as a guide , they are usually mirror. Images of each other.

31. I replaced the rear drum brake shoes and the wheel cylinders on my 2001 Odyssey using your instructional video. After I got everything back together and adjusted, the brakes work fine. But, my parking peddle was not stopping the brakes. I adjusted the cable length near the parking brake foot lever and no improvements. After driving the car for four days, the auto adjust mechanism in the rear brake assembly was doing it's work and the parking brake started to stop the car a little. This boosted my confidence to adjust the cable length near the parking brake foot lever some more. Now the parking brakes work perfectly. Your instructional video brought me 100% success in changing out the brake shoes and wheel cylinders on my 2001 Honda Odyssey.
