27. Android may be better than the iPhone 4 in many aspects, execpt the youtube app. It may not be fast either but man, the HD video playback on wifi is amazing on the iPhone 4.

30. i have the same problem on my LG optimus m.when i watch a youtube video on HQ it freezes for a min or 2 and then comes on for like 3 seconds and keeps doing it.if i watch it without HQ then it runs threw.but the audio and video is shit.why does it have HQ if it dont work???

34. here is the prpcedure to improve YouTube.apk:

    Root your phone
    Download/install Root app remover -available for free in market-
    Uninstall YouTube.apk
    Unroot (if needed)
    Voila! Now the app works like charm 🙂

35. Okay, here are my problems:

    -Half the videos are not available (For some stupid reason)
    -I CAN'T uninstall the app. (It's not on my Application list)
    -In HQ, the app freezes my phone entirely. Non-HQ has horrible audio/video quality.
    -There's no inbox feature.
    -The search engine sucks.
    -You can't view your liked videos.

    I can still name more.

37. This app is just an imposed nightmare. Cant believe Google guys lost their mind up to this point with this stupid multimedia highjack. Need a clue nuking this stock sht other than dropping the phone into the toilet, thx in advance 🙂

40. Please help me with my problem! I signed on my youtube account from facebook on my android phone. now the overall performance of the phone sucks. What's mainly affected is youtube. It stops functioning properly and it takes a hell lot longer to load and automatically shuts itself off. I think the problem is because I signed on youtube from my phone. So anyone please tell me how do you sign off youtube from your phone!!

44. @dukerocks33 that is a very good question. I don't have an iphone so I can't tell you. I do have a Droid X with the latest youtube app and it is amazing to say the least. What they could do though is allow you to hit reply on someones comment, or add an inbox if you log on with your account.
