  1. Thanks for taking the time to explain what a widget is!! I'm 61 and even though this stuff has been around for many years, I just don't always get it. I think it's so much easier for people that grew up with computers as just part of their lives! Thanks again.

  2. never mind all that shit i just posted. WIDGETS ARE APPS. THEY'RE FUCKING APPS. JUST DID THE RESEARCH AND IT LED. TO. APPS. sorry for all the caps im just fucking 😞

  3. this is all you need to know. Widgets are infomational and cool as fuck. that weather or clock thing that first came on yo phone when you bought it? widget. a block that gave you info on celebs on yo main screen? a widget. I hope this helps.

  4. A widget is simply an interactive app icon. Instead of opening the entire app.. It shows you the basics of what you need. There are widgets to automatically show you Facebook updates with out being on Facebook itself. Widgets to show you weather, stocks, current news and more all simply displayed at the ready on your homepage. The lack of customization for Apple is sad. You can.. Change wallpaper.. That is it. With Android you have the option to change wallpaper, fonts, widgets, color, etc
