I’ve had more than one request for this, the other day I had one come in and was happy to make the video for it. This is a fairly easy one compared to some that I have had to deal with, just work smart and have the right tools and you will be fine. Remember the longer the tool the better the leverage and that you should check to make sure you have the correct belt before you try and install it.

  1. Embracing the pain here. But it looks like the belts around the fan pulley. But how does it come off without removing the fan witch would be a major pain to embrace. I'm waiting Eric.

  2. "I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, "Eric I can get it off easy, it's getting it back on that sucks"". Damn it, you read my exact thoughts as you were getting the belt off lol…

    I may have the tools to do the job, but I've always been afraid to do the job fearing that I wouldn't be able to put the belt back on properly. It's not the diagram that's confusing, just the "possibility of being slightly off a pulley" part that makes me hesitate…

  3. I gotta figure this out barley made it home after my belt just dissapred as I was driving some one told me it was the pully shit that broke the belt but I know that belt wasn’t ever replaced it’s a 11 year old car and I need tonwork

  4. I know I need to check the drug on all pulleys before I put the belt. But do I need to clean the surface of pulleys with something? I sprayed some rusty bolts and other metal parts inside the engine bay with "Powerful Rust and Corrosion Protection" penetrant and lubricant (slightly, but still some probably got on those pulleys. Belt is off). It is Fluid Film. Probably now I need to clean all the pulleys (including a new accelerator pulley) with something? Or it is O'K and actually will be protecting them from possible rust?
