3. If we still believe in a government of the people, by the people, and for the people, then it is the government that must justify its actions to us, not the other way around. Never the other way around.
   As soon as someone starts talking about making something illegal because they don't think it can be justified, they've got it exactly backwards, and we should immediately turn off the channel (or better, vote them out). This man clearly believes that the government is the source of power, authority, and rights, and the government can take them away as it sees fit.
