5. It has a Snapdragon 801 SoC , and it is ip67 which means dust proof and water resistant up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.. It has the latest and greatest yeah but… Until fall when that monster Snapdragon 805 will be out with over 300 Gflops of pure power, this will be outdated.. So is it worth spending so much money to be flagship for just 6 months??
   Samsung give us speed, power, innovation .. And stop doing this heart rate sensors and blah blah thing..

10. This could very well be the first Samsung Android phone that doesnt lag and so will be very well be my first Samsung phone.

14. Samsung S5 wont be the best selling flagship android phone this year for sure… Sony Xperia Z2 has better body, screen, camera, dust and water proofing and this time a better UI. I am putting my money on the New HTC One aka HTC One 2 for a new flagship smartphone experience.

22. What a plain copy of apple apple releases gold 5s and samsung releases gold s4 and s5 and apple does a fingerprint scanner on the 5s and what does samsung do fingerprint scanner on the s5 COME ON SAMSUNG

23. Wow, a lot of negativity about this phone. But in reality it's really nice. A massive amount of power. And a simple design. The removable plastic back is apparently a huge deal…. but really 90% of people will put a case on it and barely ever see it. And it still has an SD card slot which is amazing. And the display is going to be as good as ever. It's hard to see anything much better then what it will have on it. And the phone will be oriented towards fitness which is a nice outlook for the company.

24. Once carriers get their bloat there will probably be 10gb of storage on there.

    Let's wait for HTC…..not sure why because that black bar will probably kill that phone for me.

    Moto also confirmed a phone for end of summer.

26. Hey Jayce, I think that the S4 may be using the 801 like the Z2 instead of the 800 because on Qualcomm's site the max clock speed for the 800 is 2.3 GHz but the 801 has a max clock speed of 2.5GHz and as seen in the S4, it clocked out the S600's processor at 1.9GHz.

38. There seems to be some discrepency with the device circulating around the web. Some are saying the SoC is the Snapdragon 800, and some are saying it's the Snapdragon 801. Which one is it?

49. Everyone is so distracted by the fact that it isn't metal to notice everything else it has to offer. Most of the phones on the market are made of plastic so I don't see what the problem is. No one cares that the LG G2 has a glossy plastic back.
