  1. Try that B12 chemtool you can buy it by the gallon at walmart, I soaked my LS1 pistons and valves and any small parts and they came out looking brand new.

  2. Oh cool new video, let me grab my cereals real quick. press playcereal guy me: I love that intro
cereal guy me spitting out my cereals

  3. The other thing you suppose to do that you did talk about. was make sure the head surface is straight & flat. a lot of time's you have to get the Heads Decked. just to make sure the head is not Wraped. & un even. or the head gasket won't seal right. or last very unless you get Real lucky.

  4. You lap the valves to make them seat in the head, if the valves dont seat, you loose compression, loose power,it also affects flow over the back of the valves

  5. For all you gullible viewers out there this is not the correct way to build a head. You really should take it all to a reputable machine shop and have them clean and balance everything or you risk damaging the engine. Real mechanics know when to set pride aside and leave certain things to people who are better than you. These methods will work but not as long as they would if a professional engine builder did it.

  6. hey boostedboiz do you think re building an engine would be extremely difficult for someone who has never done anything to an engine before? This all looks really fun and hands on and might be cool to do for a side project when i have nothing else to do.

  7. Should cut the handle of the suction cup valve lapping tool in half, screw a self tapping 2" screw into the wood handle of the now halved lapping tool, leave an inch of threads hanging out, cut the head off the self tapper, then place a power drill on the threads of the self tapper and tighten the chuck, to be able to power lap those valves. Wash and repeat with the other half of the lapping tool to have two functional lapping drill attachments.
