  1. Hey Eric winter is coming up once again. How about an updated winter tip video for us Rust belt people. Like greasing latches, waxing glass etc. It is supposed to be a rough winter this year.

  2. Good tip, I've been doing that for years. I actually keep a quite a few of those alcohol prep wipes in my vehicle. You can usually buy a small box of a hundred, or so from Walmart for only a few bucks.

  3. On BMW Z3's at least, you have to leave the wipers half way up to lift them, otherwise it hits the hood.

  4. I actually had to lubricate mine to get them off. They were like siezed on there. I put a small smidgen of grease on there to help get them off the next time.

  5. If you've got new-ish wiper blades but they're not cutting the mustard like they once did, you can always wipe the blade itself down with an alcohol prep pad or just alcohol on a rag. You might be surprised when they wipe like brand new again.
By alcohol, I mean rubbing alcohol. If I find out someone wasted good Jack Daniels on their wipers, I'm going to be sorely dissapointed. 😀

  6. hey eric. my 98 Acura CL wipers are not going all the way down when there in use. unless i push them down with my hands.

any suggestion to whats the issue from not letting it go all the way down to its seat?

    laterzz..

  7. WOW! 😀 i drove my car for the first time today without it overheating!! (test drive) and i kid you not as soon as i changed it to d4 to drive off it started pouring! my wipers made it worse! lol everything was blurry and i was deciding whether to go buy new ones or not and i didnt, i will soon tho cause today was the beginning of the rain.

  8. i have 2 tips i invented myself, first i do soak my new wiper blades with rubber protection, like STP son of gun,i personally use Turtle wax F21 with uva & uvb protection, this will prolong your blades life time and make them wipe smoother, the second tip is i scrub my windshield with any plastic/glass clear out, believe me..this will make your glass very smooth and you wont even need to use the wipers as the water drops slide off so quick and clean.as if u just having Vaseline on your glass :-].

  9. @stephensusername It could be one of 2 things. If you have had a windshield replaced they may not have put the wipers back in the correct position, if this is the case all you have to do is loosen the 14mm at the base of the wiper, smack the base of the wiper with the palm of your hand to break it loose and reposition it a little lower, tighten the nut and you should be fine. If you can move the wipers when you try to pull up on one then you might have a problem with the linkage.

  10. I usually just replace just the insert in a situation like that, most of the time they are available from the dealer, I haven't seen too many aftermarket parts suppliers stock those blades, they are an odd size after all.

  11. I had to recently replace the rear wiper blade and was kinda difficult b/c the wiper arm doesn't swing upward in a 90 degree angle like the fronts do and doesn't fit standard wiper blade b/c of the metal cover so I had to take a good blade out of its track, cut it to size and use it as a refill. Pain in the keester to say the least
