  25. Senator Lankford has apologized for supporting Trump's attempts to challenge election results. It's a fake apology which stinks of hypocrisy. But it is still significant! It signifies that some Republican senators recognize that continuing to support Trump will not go down well with voters. Most commentators think that Trump will continue to command support from his base… but savvy politicians aren't banking on it! BTW I refuse to refer to Republicans as GOP members – there is NOTHING grand any more about this old party!

  36. I don't see the Senate convicting Trump for inciting that capitol attack. There is video of Trump telling those people to peacefully protest at the Capitol.
