  1. I have the lg gpad 8.0 and have had issues with it from the start. At first it started having issues connecting to wifi and yes I have gone through great lengths to figure out what the issue is and have nothing to have worked. Then is started randomly shutting off and wouldnt turn back on unless it was plugged into the charger even though it would be 15% battery left. Later on it started shutting off at higher battery percentages and became more random. Then its started only being usable while on the charger even though it didnt need charging, if taken off the charger it would shut off and not turn back on. Now even while on the charger it will not turn on. I have factory restarted the tablet almost 10 times and even erased and turned off the smart memory thing that still holds some memory even during a factory restart. Barley use any apps with the exception of youtube, netflix, twitch, typical apps. I must say my experience with the LG gpad has been awful and I have friends who have also had alot of issues with anything LG.

  2. I have an iPad mini 1st generation non retina and this tablet and am unsure which one to sell, as I don't need 2 tablets. I have an iPhone but still love and appreciate android OS. Which should I sell? Unbiased opinions only please.

  3. One thing I think you forgot to mention: (or I wasn't listening enough) This tablet has voice recognition, so you can use it like siri to type for you.

  4. Came here because Virgin offered me an LG G tablet AND an LG spirit for just £12 a month. Very happy and I'll be taking that offer 😋😋

  5. My review:

    Pros
    ——-
    -Nice size.
    -1080P
-Software home, back and menu bottoms

    Cons
    ——-
-Serious issues with Bluetooth. It will NOT automatically connect with paired devices such as headsets, cars and other peripherals. (this is not a Android problem but how LG configured the Bluetooth). One has to manually go into the control panel and connect each device every time. Google Store hacks to fix this works only about half the time.
-If one holds the tablet on the sides (portrait orientation) the screen detects the hand as a touch on either sides. I fixed this by using a rubber case designed for the tablet, but there is another problem, no official rubber case so the power and mic ports are not properly sized or positioned (get a knife).
-Apps can not be transferred to the SD card. (this is not a Android problem but how this unit was configured).
-No OS, driver or configuration updates by LG. Typical LG abandonment.

Over all, poor attention in design and configuration. No support for the device by 3rd party manufacturers. By poor, I mean someone must have designed this on a CAD and never ever bothered to test it.

For serious users get a Sony or Nexus. Far better support and less bugs. Samsung makes great screens and good build quality but suffers from the same lack of support and updates for their devices as LG. Avoid both.

  6. Just got this tablet for free when I upgraded my phone to the LG G3. It is LTE and seems to do everything I need just fine. I would easily recommend this tablet for anyone who is in the market for a durable, well made, Android tablet. I give it a 8.5 out of 10. because the camera doesn't have a flash and the speakers are on the back instead of the front where they should of been placed.

  7. Should I buy this for £190 or just buy a 16GB 2013 Nexus 7 for £155? Screen size doesn't faze me and I will be using it for mostly, gaming, social media and netflix consumption

  8. In SIngapore it's cheaper than even the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0. But I'm holding my money and see if the price drops after LG's new tablets are announced

  9. Android authority does the QPair works to other smartphones or not because I used my Samsung galaxy s3 mini and it won't pair each other how am I going to do

  10. I have a G2 love it got the Ipad mini for Christmas for Christmas. After a week my wife took it back and got me the gpad and I 100% love it more.
