Great phone..The battery just sucks..But I take the good with the bad..

I'm considering getting an unlocked HTC one x plus and using it as a media device/pocket computer without activating it on any phone network. Would that work? Will I be able to use the device without a sim card? I'm planning on using google voice with wi-fi for messaging and calls. Thank you!

how do you protect the camera?? mine got scratches now because it's like bulged out and it gets scratches from putting it on the table
getting this for the 64 gb memory and the horizontal app scroll, and for half of its orig price

AT&T's warranty place made me but this in may for $199.99 after dropping my htc vivid. I personally wish they let me pick a phone since I'm paying 200 for a phone forced down my throat. AT&T warranty sucks. This phone it decent but I could've gotten a better phone, but no. I was forced to have another quick battery draining htc phone.

I had this phone in February as my upgrade but it fell to its death in April so now I got an HTC One. I love the camera on this phone and playing games was awesome but just dont like the warm colors.. the greys looked brown in a grayscale
