It's a good way to dominate the market.
Despite all the hate for some of sammys new phones its nice of them to be sending out mid range phones, people tend to forget that not everyone is a power-user (I assume most of the people commenting on this are), some people want the basics like calls, messaging and social networking.
But still, sammy should come up with another design to differentiate the high from the mid range, its not fair for the high end phone users who pay a ton for their phones to have all these "copies" flying around..

So now samsung fanboys cant use the "iPhones are all the same" argument, the last samsung phones i've seen are at least similar to galaxy s3.

Samsung just keep it simple. The Galaxy S3 Mini as a budget phone, the S3 as a normal phone and the Note 2 as a big ass phone. And if you introduce a new phone, make sure to ditch the old model and don't reincarnate it in a million ways……
