The Bastrop man had been accused in a sex assault case in which charges were dropped against him. Police were able to match Reed’s DNA to the semen found in Stites’ body.

They're trying to say it wasn't Rodney, that he's innocent, but, um, no one is mentioning the part where, even before they had a suspect, they were told that she died AT THE SAME TIME she was raped. So whoever the semen belonged to was her murderer. And that semen was found to be Rodney's. Even if they were having an affair, it is irrelevant, because the person killed her while at the same time he was in her. He could have been her husband for all it mattered.

    Then let's not forget that they were turned to Rodney in the first place because that other lady had been attacked IN THE SAME MANNER and the Texas Ranger was reminded of the Stites case. Then of course there's also the fact that he's attacked other females.

    They're trying to use his skin color as a get-out-of-jail card, almost literally. Let's look at the FACTS. The jury got it right.

  7. 2:00 Police knew it was reed as an officer had identified Reed hanging at the gas station before the kidnapping. The officer knew Reed so his identifications is virtually certain. Strangers can err on identification but people identify people they know almost perfectly.

  9. Not to much talk about all of the other victims that were raped by Reed… and he just quite so happens to be in a relationship with the girl found dead with his semen in her for which he said he never met her before.. righttt. And I'm an astronaut 😂😂

  10. I think the piece of Evidence that would help me conclude who did it is, how much Seamen was found inside her? That would also help me conclude if the Rap was done at the time of death or if it was Consensual. I don’t mean to be too graphic, but what I mean by that is this, Rodney says he had sex with her 2 or 3 days before her death, meaning if that were true, she would have gone on with her life, showered, urinated, cleaned herself, gone to work. Meaning she was alive and standing up, from personal experience, when you have unprotected sex, the Seamen “falls out” from the woman. So I would imagine getting a DNA sample days later would be rather hard.
    If she was Rape around the time of Death, her dead body would be transported laying down for the most part. So I would imaging that the Seamen would more likely be retained in the Vagina. That’s why I asked how much season was found, if it’s a lot then I would lean towards Rodney being the Killer. And if not much Seamen was found then I would lean towards Jimmy killing her.
    As for motives, I think both have them. For Rodney, I feel something that is very possible is that she called off the affair with him (if there was one, as Rodney claims) and she told him that she could have him arrested and thrown in Jail for rape if he didn’t leave her alone because her husband is a police officer. And Rodney in Rage or Panic killed and raped her.
    And as for Jimmy, the motive would be her Cheating, but again that’s an if?
    Both men have had assault/ rape cases. Rodney before Stacys death, and Jimmy After.
    I got to say I find it odd that there is no records of domestic violence for Jimmy before Stacys death. Granted he was a cop and would be hard to indict, but I would image if Jimmy ever hit her, she would confide in a family member. And as for him telling a Cell member he did do the crime, people in Jail will claim crimes they did not commit either to gain respect or so inmate won’t mess with them, and I would imagine as a Ex cop, he would have a target on his back.

  13. Rodney Reed’s DNA is connected to 5 Rapes, including that of a 12-Year-Old. The Details are so brutal that You Tube has prevented me from using clinical terms to describe them. The Statute of Limitations never expires in cases involving the brutalization of children. Reed’s attorneys shake him loose from the murder he committed, the state will come right back at him with the charges related to the cruelty he inflicted on a young girl.

  16. Hate to break it to you guys, but Mr. Reed killed her. This isn't that complicated. First off, his DNA is in her, on her underwear, and on her breasts. Yet Reed says he had consensual sex with her days prior. Does she not shower or change her underwear? So clearly his story doesn't line up, and he had sex with her shortly before she died. And whoever killed her seems to have raped her given the state of her pants and belt. The pathologist never states his timing of the death or semen placement were incorrect, just that they weren't as 100% down-to-the-minute exact as portrayed in court. Secondly, there's no evidence suggesting there was a consensual relationship (no phone records, no witnesses), except after to the Innocence Project scrounges up two witnesses out of the woodwork 20-some years later. Also, why did he perjure himself initially by saying he didn't know her? Never mind the fact that his semen was found in numerous other women who report being raped, and then he charmed his way into another woman's car before bashing her head on the steering wheel.   19. I don’t understand why people think he’s innocent especially when THERE was other victims including one that was able to get away. 🧐🙄 Also for those who state they had consensual relationship. Explain to me why he would deny knowing her? If he was with her why didn’t he come forward from the beginning to help find justice? 🧐🧐🤨

It’s an extremely sad case across the board for many reasons. Hopefully Stacy will have peace and justice and the correct person(s) will be punished for this crime.
