  1. This is very real, the hospitals in my area are full. I had to get some testing at my local hospital, and saw the mobile hospital tents stacked up in a field by the hospital ready to go up when the time comes. It took me 15 minutes to find a place to park, people were even parking on the grass. The place is FULL even though the staff was amazing at keeping us patients apart; I was escorted by a staff member to all of my tests. I've never seen anything like this. When I was at a different hospital last week for a doctor appointment, it was so crowded too, staff guiding people through the halls, 6-8 people per elevator. Again, unlike anything I've ever seen before. Please stay safe everyone and remember not just Covid patients need the hospitals. Other illnesses are still going on. They are stretched thin and bursting at the seams with patients. It was upsetting seeing the mall and restaurants' parking lots crowded with Christmas shoppers and people going out to eat when I was on my way home; knowing some of them will end up at the hospital down the road from their behavior. Thank you healthcare workers for keeping it all so coordinated somehow in this chaos❤️

  11. This is heartbreaking. But it must be said that hospitals received tens of millions of dollars via the Cares Act stimulus. They've had over 7 months to get beds, equipment, & staff ready. They had the examples of Italy & NYC as a warning. Now their staff are exhausted & patients are dying because they dragged their feet in bureaucracy.

  21. people aren't really getting it! thinking it's not that bad it's like the flu or whatever wacky idea etc. the point is "stop/slow down the spread" it heavily taxes the hospital to the point that other emergency services may also require rooms and equipment will lag. and on top of that, the stress on the medical workers will suffer. please help the people that help us get better.
