this is literally dumbest rescue ever
Seen this before the boat look like a life vest so we thought someone was in trouble and someone call 911. When they when out in the ocean to check on them. It was just two guys fishing. When they can back to the beach they look embarrassed. But at least the lifeguard was doing there job
I live near the beach in Florida. We've had 2 people die after their kayaks tipped over in waves and they drowned. No one should be riding the waves (even if the ocean is calm) in kayaks or canoes!

I have to say watch Bondi beach rescue because when it comes to beach rescue the Aussies are the best in the world. These guys were far too slow getting to the person in distress

I don't know if he called to be rescued or someone called about him. Maybe someone thought he was drinking or that he fell asleep in the canoe? The conditions were in no way bad, I've swam in worse water and managed to wait out the undertow at about the same distance from shore.
And they had a fire call that needed more attention than this. Smh.
