New Brunswick Canada is roughly the same size in population and land mass as North Dakota. It began mask mandates and social distancing very early on in the pandemic, as well as listening to it’s leading health professionals. As of today, it has had 8 deaths, and under 600 cases in total.
You can't educate people who are unwilling to learn.

First it was a hoax, The numbers were fake, and would disappear after November. Then the "fake hoax" could be cured by hydroxychloroquine. After that, we were told to reuse mask, put UV light and disinfectant within our bodies. Then the same genius, got infected with something that was supposedly fake, got medication that no one in the country has access to… While maintaining the chant to reopen this nation fully 🙄.
Put the mayor to work in the front line because I believe if she had to work in the front line because she should tell people to mask or close the hospital
South Dakota actually has a lower death rate than the United States overall. South Dakota's death rate, according to CDC numbers, it's only 1.7%. The United States overall has a 2.0% death rate.
Today's figures show 12.5 million cases so far of covid-19. It also states that maybe there have been 258,000 deaths. (Probably fewer because on April 14th the CDC no longer required lab tests for covid-19 on dead people)
If you do the math, that comes out to a 2% death rate. (Down from 2.3 last week) That means that 98% of people who get covid, SURVIVE! It is probably more because we will never really know how many people actually got infected. 98% or better chance of survival! And that is if you get the virus! I will take those odds any day of the week!!
I respect the rights and freedoms of every North Dakotan to infect other people they will never even meet and to kill them……

Don't believe the numbers. They get a kick back from Gov for ever case 13, 000.00 am if U need a ventervator it cost than hosp gets a kick back 35,000.00 they make it bigger than what it is. Know person was tested said, positive but they redid it it than show negative. Something is fishy. Its call dollar signs. Make sure its covid not just a fever of something else an call it covid.
The problem is that the US thinks the answer should be easy. No, it won't be fixed by not going out for a week or two or through just wearing a mask.. It's not just shutting bars and restaurants until some idiots start bleating freedom and then throwing them open again. Or forcing people back to work because they need to pay bills and feed themselves. People going crazy isolated in their homes because they don't know what is real because Fox News feeds them lies, other media channels are incompetent and politicians show no leadership ability or have their own agenda. Most of all, the US education system is so bad that people are not even taught the basics of how to research facts.
Our team of 5 million here in New Zealand had a serious lock down for months, we were financially supported where necessary, we had the technology for a lot of us to be able to work from home, our essential workers (NOT hairdressers – WTF!?) were fully supported and given respect . During the months of lock down I went to the supermarket twice. Home delivery was the norm.
Now we have no virus in the community. A couple of times it has escaped from border control but our detection, prevention and eradication controls are so effective that it was eliminated very quickly.
Your country needs less selfishness, lee's bleating about fake freedoms, better education, better leadership, better community, more caring about each other, and a whole lot more discipline. Most of all, a real lock down is required – not the chaos that the USA pretends is going to work.
Our lives here are back to normal apart from a greater concern with hygiene, wearing masks on public transport and signing in when we enter public buildings like shops, gyms, libraries etc. Every day I am thankful I live in a sane country where I can go to restaurants, bars, community functions and social gatherings with no fear of the virus and no fear that I may cause someone's death.

I look at the comments and nobody mentions that average person that dies is 78 years old. But no lets lock down everyone and ruin their lives and their careers.
