14. Why would the US government feel resentment at China's natural growth and scientific advances? Is it because of envy? Is it because the US is not willing to slip down into second-place behind China? China has a long record of non-interference, whereas the US has a long record of just the opposite. My view is that nurturing good and productive relations with China is far more advantageous to the US than being confrontational with China. Let us not forget that China has actually loaned money to the US Government, and has sent many students to study in American universities and colleges.     Right to fair trials, but a person in one state doing the exact same crime as a person in another state can get different sentencings.
