The pay gap is a myth debunked thousands of times by statistics, if she wants to complain that she gets paid less compared to male soccer players that is true, it is a different league and mens soccer is significantly more popular than womens soccer , so in short the men’s soccer make more money because its more popular and has more viewers than female’s soccer, you can literally apply this to the NBA and WNBA as well, more people can name male baseketaball players than womens basketball because it is more popular , its about the viewers not the gender

10. The womans soccer team gets less per game but gets a 100K base salary that the men don't get. They were offered the same pay structure as the men but said no. They make more than the man.

17. Rapinoe doesn't seem to understand economics. In professional sports, players get paid according to the revenue they generate for their team's owners. Most sports (other than MLB) have a salary cap that is linked as a % of revenues. The higher the revenues, the higher the salary cap, and the more individual players make. Once women's soccer generates equal or greater revenues compared to men's soccer, then all the women would need to do is form a union and demand higher salaries. And the owners would give them these salaries, because they would want the women performing to generate revenue.

18. Equality at all cost. Let the women compete with men. No gender, no discrimination. Lets see if their jobs output is equal. Cant compete? too bad you're weaker. let the games commence!

27. It’s not even about revenue. The women were offered the same pay to play contract as the men, they declined in favor of a rich benefit package that also included a scaled down pay to play rate. So while it is true that the women were paid less up front 1. They actually made MORE money than the men, when taking into account the benefits package included and 2. Actually CHOSE against what the men were offered, in favor of what they currently have. What they were actually suing in court for, was to alter the deal, so that they RETAINED their benefits package and also made the same up front pay to play money. The courts obviously saw through the BS and roundly rejected their case.
