Building a better SR20DET Pt. 1

Had some fun with Big Boost and got the short block and some more bay work done. Wanted to get the engine fully assembled, but ran into a little speed bump. Let’s get it running tomorrow! http://LZMFG.com

  1. my wiseco pistons and manley rods have arrived. what piston to bore clearance did you use 2.5 – 3 thou. also i went 9:1 and have offset wrist pins ??

  2. Toss the wire retainers for the wrist pins. C rings work or Teflon buttons work awesomely. I started using them on vw drag racing engines. And never had a problem.

  3. Oh, I would hate to stop building because of some small sh.t part. Thats why i have lathe in my workshop. And bolts, nuts, screws, washers and special sorted out. Just some tips from fellow builder… 🙂

  4. Hey look up TESA Tape, Your going to kick your own but for not using it on your engine harness. It looks so much better than your average  electrical tape and works so much better
