Who would want to take a tag…especially a bad tag.
Those first guys were definitely lying. Yelling doesn’t make you right.
So here's the deal, they had the paperwork that showed they had got a "Temp Tag" issued. It was suppose to be in the window. It's possible the tag flew out the window as it was on the tow truck. Nobody gets this upset if they're lying. I was tooling along in a car I was borrowing from my sister, I had a "Temp Tag" on the back, I did not realize it blew off while I was driving down the interstate. The police 🚔 pulled me over. She told me there were NO TAGS. 😳 Luckily, I showed her the receipt from Ace Hardware where I had bought brand new license plate screws & there was a tiny amount of paper around the screws. She realized I wasn't lying, they had to be there. They weren't "Confused" especially if they had the paperwork showing the BMV transaction. I think anybody would be irrate.

Its simple logic though its a computer so once its in its in. Them caring is the part where they can cancel it during their time logging the info. They aren't here to make the world a better place but give em a break they are just doing a job.
