  3. So the Democrats' panties are in a knot because Republicans are taking advantage of their Senate majority to advance their candidate's confirmation process so close to the election? Democrats are such hypocrites! They would do the exact same thing if the situation were reversed! Is this any worse than what the Democrats did in 2010, when they exploited their Congressional majorities to force the most horrible domestic legislation in history (Obamacare) on the American people? During the first 2 years of Obama's presidency, the Republican party was rendered effectively irrelevant, as the Democrats controlled all 3 branches of the government. The Dems could have used those 2 years to pass some meaningful gun control legislation, which they're always whining about, but instead they abused their power to pass a disastrous health care bill that's caused insurance premiums to skyrocket for working middle-class families!

I don't like Trump at all, but what most of these politicians won't tell you is that it's only one person's fault that the GOP is going to be able to appoint another conservative to the Supreme Court. That person is Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Obama begged her to step down while he was in office and she refused despite her health issues. Ego is one hell of a drug.

    Well actually, presidents have nominated 29 times in an election year. They’ve even nominated in the lame-duck session after the election. In 2016, the Democrats did not control the Senate and the president can't tell the Senate what to do. "Elections have consequences" and so does killing the filibuster.

The report went on to explain how campaign staffers were blaming each other for the random smells but quickly realized it was obviously old Joe. More reports explained how a turd recently fell out of his pant legging and rolled right into a female staffer. The staffer was promply released from the job and was paid to stay quiet. The End

  37. My understanding is that under the constitution, the president is obligated to name a candidate for the court vacancy to the Senate. Senate then confirms or fails to confirm the nominee to the court.
    If the Senate does not confirm the candidate then the president makes another recommendation until a candidate is confirmed by the Senate. Sounds pretty simple to me. Joe must be reading from a different constitution than the rest of us.
