Communities are under threat because of poor forest management and climate, not withstanding the weather (winds) that exacerbated the fires. Leadership failed to even acknowledge that they failed at the local community level to protect communities and towns as they continued to be leveled from the fires. On the east coast, mayors and state officials pull out dozers and sandbags to protect against floods in their communities. Climate change was the only answer in California to protect their towns.
