Very trusting of her to give her family that kind of responsibility, think I'd take a more legal approach & leave the family out of it but that's based on my own family & experiences. ..think too many of them have proven their own irrational & hasty (hateful at times) choices for themselves too be given a life choice that might affect 2 babies! !!   45. I wonder sometimes about her only having bipolar disorder. I understand some types can cause severe dysfunction. But she has, more than once lately, appeared to be suffering moments of outright "madness." I don't know how else to describe the expression of someone who has lost their mental faculties but it's one of those things: you know it when you see it. I think we should all keep that in mind; she may be less capable of taking care of herself than we know. And by that I mean, surviving. There's kind of an assumption going around that the structure in place is just about money. It's also about having the legal authority to keep someone safe. I don't know more than anyone else here. But I have had the experience of consoling a friend who was driven to her wits end trying to keep her father from being institutionalized but also from continually stripping off all his clothes and running into traffic.
